· Shop for trousseau and special dresses for parties and showers.
· Finalize guest list and address invitations and or announcements.
· Purchase the bridesmaids’ gifts and a gift for the groom.
· Make an appointment with your gynecologist for an examination..
· Invite someone to preside over the guest book at the wedding ceremony.
· Order wedding cake if not planning on using a caterer’s services.
· Arrange to have a photographer take a black and white picture for the wedding announcement in the local newspaper. You may also wish a formal portrait sitting.
· Have final fitting for yourself and your attendants.
· Make arrangements for the bridesmaids luncheon.
Groom
· Buy rehearsal dinner and going- away clothes as well as special clothes for your honeymoon.
· Purchase the groomsmen’s gifts and a gift for the bride.
· Plan a bachelor’s party and make arrangements

· Select wedding rings and have them engraved..
· Review plans for the ceremony and reception.
· Decide where you will live and shop for furniture.
· Decide patterns for china, glassware and flatware as well as bed and bath linens. Register then at popular department stores. Set up a system to record gifts received.
