Good planning has it’s rewards.
Bride
· Purchase accessories such as garter, ring pillow and guest book.
· Make arrangements for the reception reserving the location, caterer, photographer, musicians and florist.
· Order bouquets for attendants.
· Mail wedding and / or reception invitations (6 weeks is proper). Have announcements ready to mail.
· Prepare the announcement for the newspaper and send it along with the black and white glossy print. Be sure to include the date for publishing.
· mail invitations for the bridesmaid’s luncheon.
· Set up an appointment at the beauty salon.
· Purchase shoes for yourself and your attendants. If the shoes are to be dyed, have them all done at once for the best color match.
Groom
· Order ties, gloves and ascots for the groomsmen.
· Order the bride’s bouquet and going-away corsages for both mothers and boutonnieres for yourself and groomsmen.
· Mail invitations for the rehearsal dinner and bachelor’s party.
· Make an appointment for a haircut if necessary.
· Check with groomsmen to make sure they’ve been fitted for wedding day attire.
Bride and Groom
· Confirm lodging arrangements for out-of-towners.
· Make maps for out-of-town guests, and arrange any transportation needed for those without cars.
· Send thank-you notes as gifts are received.
